"I've had an issue with Microsoft's implementation of ping (something that should be impossible to screw up) where it time outs while my Linux workstation pings away. It had rendered Win2k's ping program unreliable. Fping never skipped a beat. It pung (pang, pinged, ponged) away rivaling my Linux workstation. Our product looks bad when M$ ping fails on a stable connection. I've found many Win32 ping applications repeated this M$ bug. So, good sir, the question is what did you do right?
